MGM Advantage, or to give us our full name, Marine and General Mutual Life Assurance Society, previously known as MGM Assurance, was established in 1852.

Our initial business was providing valuable life assurance to mariners and sailors and, over the years, we developed our range to offer pensions, investment and protection products.

And with over £1.4 billion of funds under our management, our investment know-how makes us financially strong and means you can trust us to keep your money safe and secure.

We are very proud of our mutual status and can offer real advantages to our members and customers as we can share our profits with them and not anonymous shareholders.

2008 was an exciting new chapter in the Society’s history and we wanted a name that accurately reflects our long heritage and stability, which is why we are now calling ourselves MGM Advantage, proudly retaining the name of MGM. The Society’s enduring strength, combined with our newly developed market-leading product and service expertise, provide clear advantage to our members, customers and financial advisers.
